Making an appointment

  • Once your GP sends the referral, a member of our expert team will contact you to arrange a date and time for your first appointment.

  • Yes. You will need a referral from a GP or Specialist to see our Doctors.

    All referrals are triaged by the Doctors before appointments are offered.

    A current valid referral is essential if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate for your appointment.

  • Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment so we can offer the time to another patient.

‍Referrals

  • Yes. You will need a referral from a GP or Specialist to see our Doctors.

    All referrals are triaged by the Doctors before appointments are offered.

    A current valid referral is essential if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate for your appointment.

  • A referral from your GP is valid for 12 months and a specialist referral is valid for 3 months.

  • Indefinite referrals are accepted only if it is specifically mentioned in the referral.

    Additionally, it is valid only for the specific condition stated on the form. If you develop an unrelated issue or new condition, a separate referral is required.

‍Fees and Medicare

  • Consultation fees vary depending on the type of appointment and treatment required. Our reception team will provide fee information when you book.

  • No, we are a privately billing practice. Medicare rebates are available for eligible patients with a valid referral.

  • Some procedures attract additional fees. Your dermatologist will discuss any costs with you before treatment.

  • No, private health insurance only covers medical specialists when you are an inpatient in hospital.

    Outpatient services, such as attending private rooms of specialists are not covered by your health insurance.

  • Yes, there is free on-site parking available, accessible via Mary Street and Margaret Street.

  • Yes, please park in the Margaret Street car park and use the ramp to enter the clinic.
